Updated April 2026 — Everything active duty, retired, and reserve military members need to know about Disneyland discounts in 2026, including ticket prices, hotel savings, eligibility, and exactly where to buy.
Disneyland offers one of the best military discount programs of any major theme park in the country. The 2026 Disney Military Salute provides deeply discounted Park Hopper tickets with no blackout dates, plus discounted rooms at Disneyland Resort hotels. For eligible military families, these deals can save hundreds of dollars on a Disneyland trip.
This guide covers everything you need to know — who qualifies, what’s available, current prices, and how to buy.
2026 Disneyland Military Ticket Prices — Quick Reference
| Ticket Type | Price | With Lightning Lane Multi Pass | Valid Dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3-Day Park Hopper | $314 | $416 | Jan 1 – Dec 31, 2026 |
| 4-Day Park Hopper | $369 | $505 | Jan 1 – Dec 31, 2026 |
| 1-Day Adult (1 park) | $104 | Add separately | Nov 18, 2025 – Dec 31, 2027 |
| 1-Day Child ages 3-9 (1 park) | $98 | Add separately | Nov 18, 2025 – Dec 31, 2027 |
Prices are before tax. Park reservations are required for all military tickets. Tickets are non-transferable and may not be combined with other discounts or promotions.
How much do you save? A standard gate-price adult single-day ticket can run $96-$194 depending on the date. A standard 3-day Park Hopper purchased through Disney runs well over $500 per adult. The military 3-day at $314 represents savings of $190+ per adult compared to standard pricing — over 35% off.
Who Qualifies for the Disneyland Military Discount?
The 2026 Disney Military Salute is available to:
- Active duty U.S. Military — Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force
- National Guard members
- Reserve members
- Retired U.S. Military
- 100% disabled veterans (U.S. Military ID with DAVPRM marking)
- Commissioned Corps of NOAA and the U.S. Public Health Service (PHS)
- Spouses of eligible members with valid military ID — spouses can purchase and use tickets in place of the service member
- Un-remarried widows of eligible service members
- Foreign military assigned to U.S. bases with a valid U.S. Military ID
Not eligible: DoD civilians, contractors, and non-retired veterans are not eligible for the Disney Military Salute Promotional Tickets. They may be eligible for Regular Military Discount Tickets at base ticket offices (see below).
Not sure if you qualify? Your base ticket office (MWR/ITT) is the best resource for eligibility questions. The Military Disney Tips website also maintains a detailed eligibility guide.
Two Types of Military Disney Tickets — Know the Difference
There are two separate military discount programs for Disneyland tickets. They’re easy to confuse but work differently.
Type 1 — Disney Military Salute Promotional Tickets (Best Deal)
These are the deeply discounted tickets described in the price table above. Available once per year during the promotion period. Key details:
- Significantly deeper discounts than regular military discount tickets
- No blackout dates for 2026 at Disneyland
- Limit of 6 promotional tickets per eligible member or spouse combined
- Activation required at the park gate on first use — the eligible member or spouse must be present with valid military ID
- Once the first ticket in the group is activated, the rest of the set is validated — the military member does not need to accompany the group for every subsequent day of use
- Days do not need to be used consecutively
- Can add Lightning Lane Multi Pass at time of purchase through the base ticket office
- Purchase deadline: December 27, 2026
Where to buy: U.S. military base ticket offices (MWR/ITT/ITR). Some eligible members can also purchase through GOVX.com. These are not sold at the Disneyland gate.
Type 2 — Regular Military Discount Tickets (Year-Round)
Separate from the annual Salute offer, base ticket offices sell standard discounted Disneyland tickets year-round. These have smaller savings — typically $10-$20 off per day compared to gate prices — but are useful when:
- You’ve used your 6 Promotional Ticket limit
- You need more than 6 total tickets for a larger group
- You need tickets for a 1-10 day visit in formats not covered by the Promotional offer
Regular Military Discount Tickets are usually pre-activated, meaning the sponsor doesn’t always need to be present at the turnstiles — though you should confirm this with your specific base. No set yearly limit on quantity.
The 1-Day Military Ticket — New for 2026
Disney introduced a dedicated 1-day military ticket for the first time with the 2026 offer. At $104 per adult and $98 per child (ages 3-9) for a single-day, single-park ticket, this represents significant savings over standard single-day pricing which ranges from $96 to $194 depending on the date.
The 1-day ticket is valid from November 18, 2025 through December 31, 2027 — a two-year window, making it ideal for military families who want flexibility to use it whenever they can get to the park. Park Hopper can be added separately. Available through base ticket offices and GOVX.com.
Disneyland Hotel Military Discount 2026
The Military Salute also covers discounted rooms at the three Disneyland Resort hotels — the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, and Pixar Place Hotel. Discounts of up to 40% off standard room rates are available on select nights.
Key details for hotel discounts:
- Valid most nights January 1 through December 18, 2026
- Limited number of rooms available at the discounted rate — book early, especially for weekends and holidays
- Not valid for Concierge rooms, Signature or Premium suites, or 2 or 3-Bedroom Villas
- Advance reservations required
- Minimum stay requirements may apply
- Subject to blockout dates on the highest-demand nights
- Cannot be combined with other discount offers
How to book the hotel discount: Call Disneyland Resort directly at (866) 572-7321 and identify yourself as a military member to access the discounted rates. Have your military ID ready. Alternatively, your base MWR office may be able to assist with hotel bookings.
Alternative for military families: If the Disney Resort hotels are sold out at the military rate or the discount dates don’t work for your trip, Good Neighbor Hotels near Disneyland offer significant savings at any time without needing a special discount. See our complete Good Neighbor Hotels guide for the best options close to the parks. You can also bundle Good Neighbor Hotel stays with park tickets through Get Away Today for additional savings.
Step-by-Step — How to Get Your Military Disneyland Tickets
Step 1: Confirm your eligibility. Check the list above. If you’re unsure, contact your base MWR/ITT office — they handle these questions regularly and can confirm whether you qualify.
Step 2: Decide which ticket type you need. For most families, the 3-day or 4-day Promotional Park Hopper is the best value. If you only need one day or need flexibility across a two-year window, the new 1-day ticket is the right choice.
Step 3: Purchase at your base ticket office. Visit your local MWR, ITT, or ITR office in person. Some offices will ship tickets by mail for a small fee if you’re not near a base — call ahead to confirm their process. Stock can be limited during peak seasons like spring break and summer — buy early.
Alternative purchase option: GOVX.com allows eligible members to purchase some military Disney tickets online. Create a GOVX account, verify your military status, and browse available Disneyland ticket options. This is especially useful if you don’t have a base ticket office nearby.
Step 4: Link tickets to the Disneyland app. Once you have your tickets, log into your Disneyland account and link each ticket in the app. This is required to make park reservations and is also how you’ll manage Lightning Lane Multi Pass if you added it.
Step 5: Make park reservations. Park reservations are required for military tickets just like any other Disneyland ticket. Make reservations through the Disneyland app for each day you plan to visit. Do this as early as possible — military ticket reservations come from a separate allocation that can fill up on busy dates, especially as holidays approach.
Step 6: Activate at the gate on day one. For Promotional Tickets, the eligible member or spouse must be present at the park gate with a valid military ID on the first day of use. This is when the tickets are activated. After activation, the group can split up and visit on separate days without the military member present.
Important Rules and Common Questions
Does the military member need to be at the park every day? No. The eligible member or spouse must be present on the first day of use to activate the tickets. After that, the rest of the group can use their tickets on separate days without the military member being present.
Can I buy tickets for friends who aren’t family? Yes. The 6-ticket limit covers tickets for the military member and anyone they choose — family or friends. You don’t need to prove a family relationship. However, the eligible member or spouse must still be present for activation on day one.
What if I have a family larger than 6? Disney makes exceptions for immediate families larger than six. If you have more than 4 children, for example, Disney will allow all immediate family members to purchase Promotional Tickets. Speak with your base ticket office or contact Disneyland directly to arrange this.
Can I add Lightning Lane to military tickets? Yes — at Disneyland, Lightning Lane Multi Pass can be added to Promotional Tickets at the time of purchase through your base ticket office. This is different from Disney World where Lightning Lane is purchased separately day-by-day.
Can I use military tickets with other discounts? No. Military Salute tickets cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions. They also cannot be used for separately ticketed special events.
When does the offer expire? The 2026 3-day and 4-day Promotional Tickets must be purchased by December 27, 2026 and used by December 31, 2026. The 1-day military ticket has a longer window — valid through December 31, 2027.
What if I don’t have a base near me? Several base ticket offices ship tickets by mail. Call around to find one that offers mail-order service. GOVX.com is also available for eligible members for some ticket types. The Military Disney Tips website maintains a list of base offices that ship tickets nationally.
Maximizing Your Military Discount — Tips
Buy early — stock is limited. Base ticket offices don’t always maintain large inventory, especially during peak seasons. If you’re planning a spring break or summer visit, buy your tickets months in advance. Running out of stock at your local base is a common frustration for military families who wait too long.
The 4-day ticket is often the better value. The difference between the 3-day ($314) and 4-day ($369) ticket is only $55. If there’s any chance you’ll want a fourth day in the parks — or want the flexibility of using one day as a buffer — the 4-day ticket is worth the modest upgrade.
Add Lightning Lane at purchase. If you’re planning to use Lightning Lane Multi Pass, adding it at the time of ticket purchase through the base is cleaner than adding it separately. The base handles the bundle and you arrive with everything sorted.
Book park reservations immediately after buying tickets. Military ticket reservations come from a limited allocation separate from regular tickets. Popular dates — especially school breaks, summer, and holidays — can fill the military reservation allocation before the general reservation pool is exhausted. As soon as you have your tickets linked in the app, book your park reservations.
Consider the hotel discount too. If you’re planning to stay at a Disneyland Resort hotel, call to check military room availability before booking elsewhere. Even a single discounted night at the Grand Californian can produce meaningful savings. The Grand Californian’s private DCA entrance is worth the on-property premium for many families.
