Updated April 2026. The Bluey’s Best Day Ever performance schedule at Disneyland’s Fantasyland Theatre is shifting to later showtimes starting Sunday, April 26, 2026. Here is the new schedule, what is changing, and how to plan your visit around it.

If you have a Disneyland visit planned with young Bluey fans and you built your morning around catching the first show, your itinerary just changed. Starting Sunday, April 26, 2026, the performance schedule for Bluey’s Best Day Ever at Fantasyland Theatre is shifting by 90 minutes, moving the first daily show from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Families who show up at the Fantasyland Theatre at 9:30 AM on Sunday will find a closed theater.

Here is everything you need to know about the new schedule, why the change is happening, and how to make the most of your visit.

The New Bluey’s Best Day Ever Schedule Starting April 26

Disneyland has updated the official entertainment calendar to reflect the following showtimes beginning April 26, 2026.

Old schedule (through April 25): 9:30 AM, 10:50 AM, 12:10 PM, 1:50 PM, 3:10 PM

New schedule (starting April 26): 11:00 AM, 12:20 PM, 1:40 PM, 3:20 PM, 4:40 PM

The total number of daily shows remains the same at five. The entire schedule shifts approximately 90 minutes later, with the final show of the day now running at 4:40 PM rather than 3:10 PM. Always confirm current showtimes in the Disneyland app before your visit, as schedules are subject to change.

Why Disneyland Is Changing the Bluey Show Schedule

Disney has not issued a formal statement on the reason for the shift, but the move makes practical sense for families with young children. The 9:30 AM start time required guests to be inside the park and at the Fantasyland Theatre within the first 30 minutes of opening, which created a difficult logistical challenge for families with toddlers. Getting young kids ready, traveling to the park, clearing security, and walking to Fantasyland before 9:30 AM is a tight window that many families were simply missing.

By moving the first show to 11:00 AM, Disneyland creates a more natural rhythm for family mornings. Guests can now rope drop the park at opening, ride attractions like Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway or Peter Pan’s Flight while waits are shortest, and then head to Fantasyland Theatre at 11:00 AM for the first show when crowds have settled and the morning rush has passed. The new 4:40 PM final show also gives families a strong late-afternoon entertainment option before Paint the Night and the evening’s 70th Anniversary celebrations get underway.

The earlier schedule was also creating congestion near the Fantasyland Theatre entrance during the morning rush, when guest flow in that area of the park is already compressed by strollers, character meet and greet queues, and the general Fantasyland foot traffic. The later start is a guest flow improvement as much as a family convenience change.

What Is Bluey’s Best Day Ever at Disneyland?

Bluey’s Best Day Ever debuted at Disneyland’s Fantasyland Theatre on March 22, 2026, as part of the park’s ongoing 70th Anniversary Celebration. The show is a roughly 35-minute live entertainment experience featuring Bluey and her sister Bingo appearing on stage with a troupe of comedic performers and a live five-piece band playing drums, guitar, trumpet, saxophone, and trombone.

The Fantasyland Theatre has been transformed into the grounds of Bluey’s school for the run of the show. Beloved characters from the series appear throughout the experience, including Unicorse, Chattermax, Grouchy Granny, and the Grannies. The show brings iconic games from the series to life, including Keepy Uppy, and transitions between live musical moments and interactive audience participation. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy pre-show music and stay after for additional activities in the life-sized Gnome Village and Fairy Garden set up around the theater.

Bluey was the most-streamed title in the United States in 2025 across all categories, including adult series and films, with 45 billion minutes watched according to Nielsen. It was the second consecutive year the children’s series claimed that distinction. The Disneyland show is produced in collaboration with BBC Studios and Ludo Studio, the Australian production company behind the series.

Tips for Visiting Bluey’s Best Day Ever With the New Schedule

Update your Disneyland app and check current showtimes before you go. The new schedule takes effect April 26 but can shift further. The Disneyland app is the most reliable source for same-day showtimes.

Use the morning for rides. The 11:00 AM first show creates a natural rope drop window. Hit Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Peter Pan’s Flight, or the Matterhorn while waits are at their shortest, then head to Fantasyland Theatre for the 11:00 AM show when the park has warmed up and crowds have distributed.

Arrive 10 to 15 minutes before showtime for good seating. The theater fills quickly and front-section seats give young children the best view of the stage. You do not need to arrive 30 minutes early, but do not cut it to the last minute either.

The 4:40 PM final show is a great option for families who do not want to rush in the morning. It also lines up well before Paint the Night and the evening 70th Anniversary entertainment. Combine the afternoon show with dinner at Troubadour Tavern for a complete Fantasyland afternoon.

Consider going twice. The show runs approximately 35 minutes and the interactive elements change slightly with the audience each time. Families who loved the first show often find a second visit earlier or later in the day equally worthwhile.

No Lightning Lane or reservation is required. Bluey’s Best Day Ever is walk-up only. Show up before showtime with a valid park ticket and you are in.

The show is genuinely for all ages. The live band, the character performances, and the humor of the series translate well to adults. This is not a passive sit-and-watch experience for parents. The interactive elements pull everyone in.
